Reading's Veljko Paunovic: "We showed once again that we never give up. I believe we controlled the whole game and created opportunities, and in the second half we were very close to taking the lead. Then, an unfortunate penalty kick changed the game.
"But we don't have time to be negative and you have to find solutions and react and get composed again, and that's what we did. Unfortunately we were too late to try and score a second goal."
Cardiff's Mick McCarthy: "I'm sick of conceding goals. 45 minutes, or 90 minutes. I'm not bothered if they deserved it or not, they shouldn't get it. We just didn't see it out, and it's so blooming annoying I can't tell you.
"That's three goals now conceded right on half-time or full-time. We just let our guard down again and it's 1-1 instead of 1-0."
"I said on Saturday that Blackburn, with their performance, they deserved it, but I'm not bothered about people deserving it, we shouldn't let them off the hook and we did.
"We have done it today. We've been terrific, we've blocked stuff, defended, caught them on the break, we could have scored a couple more in the second half.
"We just let our guard down - again. And I'm raging."
