Defender Matt Connolly has completed his move to South Wales join Cardiff City.
The 24 year old can play anywhere across the back four and is likely to be in City's squad for the trip to Bristol City on Saturday.
Talking to the official website Connolly said: "I started talking to my agent who said that a few clubs were interested in me, plus QPR were supposedly offering me a new deal.
"I waited a little while before making a decision on my future, but soon decided that I needed to move on. This was the right time to move and to start playing games again and I'm delighted to be at Cardiff City.
"Cardiff have been there or thereabouts for the past few seasons and are certainly in with a chance of going up this season, especially with the squad that we already have.
"I've heard a lot of good things about the manager as well and I can't wait to get started. It's an honour really to know that the manager rates me. I remember watching him play and he was a top defender who played at the highest level."
Connolly's arrival could trigger the departure of Darcy Blake. The Welsh international is thought to be in talks with Crystal Palace after turning down a new contract offer from City in the summer.
