Mr Mathieson has taken charge of several City games, home and away, over the past few years. Earlier this season he did the goalless draw at Nottingham Forest and a couple of years ago the Spurs v City League Cup match.
Unlike the card happy My Taylor in midweek Mr Mathieson is bit more restrained, only 68 yellows in 32 games this season. (Paul Taylor the referee at Leicester has issued 113 yellow in 33 games).
