The very first Cardiff game he officiated was a 2 nil home defeat by Plymouth on Boxing Day 2005 when he sent off Darren Purse.
In 2008 he sent Darren Purse off again in a 2 nil defeat at QPR. That day he also sent off Miguel Commingues as well.
Last season Probert took control of 34 games and issued 105 yellow cards and 6 red. Four of the red cards came in the final 7 games of the season.
