Mr Russell appears to be in his first league season as a referee. He's not listed as being in charge of a City game before. His only Championship game was at Portman Rd in January when Ipswich beat Coventry.
So far in 21 games this season he's booked 45 and only issued 1 red card. Of the 45 bookings 17 came in the first three games.
