Marlon Broomes a possible target?

Press reports are linking 24 year old defender Marlon Broomes with Cardiff City. Broomes has been released by Sheffield Wednesday and although he will not comment on it Lennie Lawrence is though to be interested.

Broomes joined Wednesday from Blackburn Rovers last December and helped the Owls avoid releagation. While at Blackburn he was loaned out to Swindon, Q.P.R and most recently Lennie Lawrences Grimsby. While with Grimsby he scored at Anfield in a famous League Cup giantkilling early in the 2001 / 2002 season.

Broomes is a former U21 England player.
