Managers reaction to Canaries v Bluebirds

Nigel Worthington.

"Darren writes his own script, he's that sort of player.

"He showed that with a goal today with great pace, an excellent touch and a fine finish. That's what he all about.

"He's the sort of player who get managers, coaches and supporters on the edge of their seats. There are days like he has had today, and other times he is frustrating. That's the type if boy he is, you have got to live with that.

"I've got to say he's been a pleasure to work with since he's been down here. He's been a credit to himself, his family and Manchester City and there's no doubt we'll miss him.

"I'm as disappointed as anyone else that he going back because I don't want to lose good players. But we've got to realise where we are at with the finances.

"We're no different to most other clubs in that respect. If you've got the money you do your shopping in the Premiership, if you haven't you look to Divisions Two and Three. That something we've got to live with at this club.

"Everyone's talking about Darren and rightly so but I thought all our players were good on the day, and all credit to them. Cardiff are a good side and it was vital we went about or business in the right way and that's just what we did."

Lennie Lawrence

"We had a couple of good little 10-minute spells but apart from that we never really got to grips with the task.

"It was very disappointing that our passing was so poor and we kept giving the ball away so cheaply. Darren Huckerby is a very good player but we made him look world class today."
