"My over-riding emotion is one of disappointment. They are a good side, they had one good spell, but we kept giving the ball away.
"We forced good positions, and it is disappointing we failed to capitalise after working so hard to stay in the game - we had as many chances as them.
"Results haven't gone well for us and it means we have to beat Crewe now."
Joe Royle:
"We were comfortable most of the time, and I was disappointed we gave the ball away so often.
"But we got the three points and that was the most important thing, though it was a slightly off-night.
"I am delighted with the win and the clean sheet. We must keep winning because the other two sides up there with us are doing just that."
