Lennie Lawrence:
"If it was a boxing match we would have had the fight won by half-time on points.
"But that is where Wigan punish you because they soak up the pressure and then hit you and the goal soon after the restart was like a knockout blow to us.
"The second goal was a complete cock-up and they were the only two chances that Wigan had.
"The ball didn't drop in the box for us. Neil Ardley put in some great crosses from left flank but we didn't finish them off, which is very disappointing.
"But that's why Wigan are where they are and why we are where we are, because they take chances and we don't. I'm still confident we'll be ok."
Paul Jewell:
"It was a great result for us because the last two games have gone against us at home, the pressure is now back on Ipswich.
"To come to Cardiff and not play free-flowing football but still get the result is a big boost to us, but you're not going to get good games at this stage of the season.
"We are fighting for our lives, Cardiff are fighting for their lives and there is so much at stake that it's just not conducive to good football."
