Aron Gunnarson completed his move to Cardiff City on Friday after coming home from Dubai.
The Icelandic international was late holidaying after being on international duty earlier in the summer and after a busy couple of days signed in Cardiff, returned to Coventry and then flew to join his new team mates in Spain.
"I''ve been on holiday a bit longer than most because I'd been away on international duty earlier in the summer," Aron told the official website.
"But as soon as I got back I travelled down to Cardiff, had my medical and pen to paper.
"I'd spoken to the gaffer a few times and he seemed really keen to make me a Cardiff City player. He told me where he saw me fitting into the team and what he thought I could offer so that made my decision a lot easier.
"I'm really happy to be here and training with my new team-mates in Spain - the climate is very different here to back home in Iceland though that's for sure!
"I had to go back to Coventry on Friday though to get some things together before flying out though, so Saturday was a very long day with the early start!"
Gunnarsson has plenty of experience with 120 starts for Coventry and Iceland. He's only 22 in September.
