The boss was speaking ahead of tonight's game at Millwall.
“I’m happy with the start, but there’s no point in getting carried away,” said Malky Mackay. “Maybe you would look at around 10 or 12 games as an early marker and go on from there.
“Reading won the division last year and they were in the bottom two in October.
“But it’s nice. The last time this club won its first three home games was an awfully long time ago.
“Going away from home is always a tough thing to do in this division,” said Mackay.
“That’s the way it is, but we ended up with the second best away form in the league last year. We went on a real good run at the end of the season when it came to away games.”
