A good finish to the second division in Belgium. It was always looking like Lierse would need to win their last game at Virton to avoid relegation and that's how it turned out. They were 2-0 down at half time though and it wasn't till the 59th minute that Etien Velikonja got their first before they finally found someone else who could score and they ended up winning 3-2. Velikonja finished the season with 24 goals in 29 games.
Someone else in the goals is Filip Kiss (pictured) as he scored for the third game in a row for Haugesund in Norway this week. Two assists in the game before that run started and a goal in the game before that too so he's having a good spell of form. 90 minutes for Deji Oshilaja (at right back) and Tommy O'Sullivan but not much happening elsewhere for our loaned players, just brief sub appearances for Kenwyne Jones and Eoin Doyle.
Plenty of goals for our former players this week as Joe Mason, Guido Burgstaller, Steve MacLean, Josh Magennis, Danny Johnson and even Alex Revell all scored. Good to see Mats Daehli is back in action for Freiburg reserves after a serious knee injury. Hopefully he'll get a full season in next term, especially as Freiburg are now back in the Bundesliga after winning promotion this week.
