Loan report 01/12/24

C:WindowsTempphpD077.tmpA disappointing weekend for our loaned out players overall. Another assist for Malachi Fagan-Walcott in a 6-2 win for York but with talks still ongoing about making the move permanent it looks like his time as a regular fixture in this thread may be coming to an end. Elsewhere, no game for Kieron Evans' Newport and no pitch time for Ryan Wintle or Raheem Conte. Roko Simic missed Kortrijk's 3-1 win yesterday and Josh Beecher will be cup-tied for tomorrow's Welsh League Cup semi with TNS. Stevenage and Cheltenham both got knocked out of the FA Cup today, Eli King came on for 16 minutes against Mansfield while Joel Colwill played the 90 minutes against Salford but wasn't at his best.

So we're crying out for a knight in shining armour to save this week's loan report, someone to 'lift the fallen, restore the broken and heal the hurting'. If only. But wait a minute - who's this coming over the hill? It cant be? Surely not? It is you know, Ewan Griffiths is back to claim his rightful place in goal for Plymouth Parkway's Southern Premier League South team. Hurrah and huzzah. Not only that but he kept a clean sheet in a 0-0 draw at Gosport today with a couple of big saves in the second half, including one with four minutes left to secure the point. Suck on that, Hollywood.
