One of the biggest fan sites in the UK is Liverpool's Kop Talk. The editor is well connected and produces a comprehensive website on Liverpool FC.
The website reported over the weekend that Lierpool scouts have put Cameron Jerome's name forward to boss Rafa Benitez.
An unnamed sourse from the scouting network is quoted as saying
"I believe Jerome is up to the standards that would be required of him.
"With the right coaching and education it is likely he would become a valuable addition to the squad. That is why at our most recent meeting with the first team coaches we put forward his name - and others - for consideration.
"I estimate his real value to be around the £1.5million mark but his club are likely to ask for at least double that. If we did make a move for him, I can't imagine us paying more than a couple of million."
"We're always scouting players and Jerome hasn't received any special attention but there is no doubting his ability."
Cameron has also been linked to Sheff Utd over the past couple of days. What seemed to start as MB speculation was then picked up by the media with the Mirror reportedly saying Utd have tabled a £1.2m bid.
So far nothing official has emerged.
