Links with the Lions

Tony Warner played for Millwall for five years, making 200 appearances for the Lions. I'm sure he would hope to get a decent reception at the New Den given his good service in his time there. Icwales story here.

On the other hand, Gary O'Neil is actually a Millwall fan, and was a season ticket holder up until the age of 15.

O'Neil said:

"I've always supported Millwall, my grandad wouldn't let me support anybody else," said the Bromley-born midfielder.

"I was a season ticket holder at Millwall from a young child until I was 15, so I was a big fan.

"The first Millwall game I watched was against Wimbledon at Cold Blow Lane when I was four.

"My grandad took me to the game and from that day I was hooked on football.

"I can't remember too much about it, but I think John Fashanu scored for Wimbledon.

"But I'd love to score for Cardiff City at the Den on Saturday.

"The best goal of my career came against Millwall for Portsmouth.

"I scored past Tony Warner that day!

"It was a nice finish after 10 minutes of a 3-0 Pompey win and, because it was against my team, it has to be my favourite."
