"The pitch ruined the final. It's probably the worst pitch we've played on all year."
The Wembley surface has been relaid 11 times already since the stadium opened.
Today York City and Oxford will play on it in the Conference play off final and then they have six days to get it ready for Cardiff's play off final with Blackpool next Saturday.
Former Cardiff City player Jason Perry has warned the current side not to make an issue this week of the Wembley pitch.
"Of course, it would be criminal if the game was decided on a player slipping or something like that. But if I was Dave Jones, I wouldn't mention it all week," Perry told the Wales on Sunday.
"Once you do, you give players excuses and there can't be any excuses next weekend.
"The Cardiff lads can't afford to let factors like that affect their performance, they have to put it out of their minds and know that it will be the same for both sides. Dave Jones will know that, and I guarantee the Wembley pitch won't be mentioned in the Cardiff dressing room.
"The bottom line is that the team that wins on Saturday will be the one that is mentally the strongest."
