If Gabbidon is fit he could come straight back into the team with James Collins dropping to the bench. If Robinson fails to make it then City could call on the fit again Gareth Whalley, although he's short of match fitness. Jason Bowen replaced Robinson as a late sub at Reading or Lennie could go for his lopsided formation by bringing Richard Langley to the left hand side and playing Mark Bonner on the right.
The City squad may read something like this
Alexander, Weston, Vidmar, Collins / Gabbidon, Barker, Robinson / Whalley, Boland, Kavanagh, Langley, Earnshaw, Thorne.
Subs from Margetson, Croft, Prior, Bowen, Bonner, Gordon and possibly Collins and Whalley if Gabbidon and Robinson play.
Andy Campbell is short of match fitness so is unlikely to feature. There are too many variables to guess correctly.
On Daniel Gabbidon, Lawrence told the Echo
"Gabbs is the hardest decision of all our returning injured players because he has been out the longest but he is a bit of a one off. I am undecided as yet - I don't want to take him to Sheffield and sit him in the stand because that is a waste of time. Maybe he goes in at the deep end or maybe he waits until Tuesday - I'm still weighing that one up."
