It's reported in todays Echo that Lennie Lawrence will keep faith with the backroom staff that helped him steer Cardiff City into the play offs last season. Lennie was thought to want to strengthen his assistants and coaches but he is happy with the way theycame through the season.
Ian Butterworth (asst manager), George Wood (goalkeeping coach), Clive Goodyear (physio), Colin Pascoe (youth team) and Matthew Crocker (xcentre of excellence) will work closely with Lennie and he attempts to get the Bluebirds to Division 1.
Lennie said
"The chemistry was right last season, the relationship between staff and players spot on. I've always if it's not broke don't fix it - and things are working well on the coaching front".
Lawrence is full of praise for his team who start back to work this week. The first team squad started to train today with the emphasis on fitness after the summer break.
