Lawrence is thought to be planning to bring in Steve Jenkins, Spencer Prior and Gareth Whalley into the starting line up for tomorrow nights crunch game against Bristol City.
Andy Campbell could also be back in the 16.
It's the rehash of the defence that's most alarming. One would assume that Jenkins, who was dropped out of the squad after the return of Rhys Weston will be back in place of Rhys and Prior would return at the expence of Chris Barker. Barker if dropped will pay the penalty for being directly involved in three of the last 4 goals against City.
Where Whally would fit I'm not sure. Last Saturday he replaced Alan Mahon at half time but is Lennie thinking of a formation change as well?
Whatever Lennie does his players, our players, will have to improve their performances from the last two games. Cardiff have not won at Ashton Gate since August 1969 and have not beaten Bristol City at all since April 1971. Add to that Bristol have won their last 5 league games at home and are only 2 points behind the Bluebirds so automatic promotion is a possibility.
City will be backed by 1,500 fans, all bussed in on special coaches, if ever there was a time for the team to perform it's now.
