Leeds distance themselves from Feeney move

Earlier this week it looked as if Feeney's was a cert to join Leeds Utd. But that's come to nothing with the Yorkshire club non-committal on the Northern Irish striker.

Leeds manager Simon Grayson said: "I spoke to a lot of players and he was one of them, but as it stands he will not be a Leeds United player."

Now Hearts appear favourites to take on the 28 year old who has been playing in Scotland on a year long loan at Dundee Utd.

Should he make a permanent signing City will finally get Feeney of the books after getting just 1 league start from him since he signed a full time contract in 2007.
