Neil Warnock has signed Jamie Ward from Nottingham Forest on loan until the end of the season with Lee Tomlin going the other way as part of the deal.
Ward is a Northern Irish international attacking player who can play wide or up front. He has spent a large part of his career at Derby County.
Tomlin has failed to achieve regular first team football at CCFC this season and Neil Warnock, when initially talking about Ward, explains that Tomlin might get a better chance at Forest.
“I’ve always liked Jamie.
“I think his attitude is fantastic - he’s quick, dynamic and can play anywhere across the attacking line.
“I think Lee [Tomlin] needs a run of games and he has more chance of that at Nottingham Forest. The manager knows him and he’s played well under him in the past. We’d like to wish him well while at the City Ground.”
