Tony Vidmar heads home to Australia to be on duty for the Socceroo's as they face a double header against Turkey. The two friendlies take place in Sydney and Melbourne on May 21st and 24th respectively.
Then it's qualifying games for the Aussie's with Oceanic matches that could ultimately lead to a World Cup 2006 place. Initially there is the OFC tournament in Adelaide between 29th May and 6th June. Teams such as American Samoa, Cook Islands, Fiji, New Caledonia, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tahiti, Tonga and Vanuatu are battling it out for the right to join Australia and New Zealand in Adelaide. The top two teams from Adelaide go on to be the challengers for entry into FIFA's Confederations Cup in 2005 and the tams fighting it out for the right to play off against South American opposition for Germany 2006.
