"I'd be gutted if I miss that one against Swansea, that is the fixture I've been looking forward to," he told the Echo.
"It's one game I want to play in after losing to them in the Carling Cup this season. I just hope they can sort something out to protect that part of the hand for me and I can just get on with it.
"I didn't even know that I broke it until afterwards when they looked at it in more detail," said Ledley, who will have a screw inserted in the damaged finger. "This is my sort of luck, just when things are looking a bit brighter this goes and happens."
