Worringly for City a move to Scotland means no compensation. City were hoping to bring in a fee of around £3m if Joe went to the Premier League.
Not the best move for Joe or Cardiff in my view. I don't understand why any player would turn down the EPL in favour of the SPL (no disrespect to Scottish football but it's not the same class). Has Joe just taken the money and run?
The financial blow to Cardiff is a real killer. Joe could have help his club as well as himself if he chosen Stoke City.
