Out of favour striker Adam Le Fondre has tweeted confirming he is in training at Cardiff but with the Development squad.
The first team squad, like last year, have gone to Champney's Hotel and Spa resort after they reported back for pre season training on July 4th.
Le Fondre though was not part of the travelling party. He replied to a question on Twitter asking about his current status.

City play their first pre season game at Forest Green this coming week, followed by a trip to Shrewsbury next Saturday. It's unsure if the former Reading striker will be involved.
He spent time on loan at Bolton and Wolves after falling out of favour with Russell Slade.
