Koumas: WBA will never sell me at any price

City's top target talked to the Western Mail about the situation he finds himself in.

"It's really frustrating, I honestly don't know what I'm going to do," said Koumas.

"I'm not training with West Brom, but I've had a few days of meetings with the chairman to try to sort things out.

"He's just told me they don't want to sell me, they say they won't sell me at any price. They want me to play for them next season and that they think I'm part of their plans.

"I want to go somewhere, you know, but I'm snookered.

"OK, they can't force me to play football for them, but I've got two years left on my contract with them.

"Things would be different if I just had one year, but I'm signed with them, they are paying my wages and they won't let me go."

Koumas would play for Cardiff if the right deal was reached.

"I know Cardiff are in for me, but West Brom don't want to do a deal. It doesn't seem to matter how much money Cardiff come up with," Koumas continued.

"Of course I'm interested in going to Cardiff.

"I had a good season down there last year, I would probably come if Cardiff and West Brom can agree on the money and I can sort out my personal side of things.

"I really don't know what I'm going to do about it and I'm not very happy.

"I want things sorted out, I'm hoping everything will be sorted out by the end of next week to be honest with you."

City fans will take heart that Koumas wants to play for City but the words "WBA will not sell me for any price" must cast a doubt over whether a deal will ever be done.
