"This move clearly demonstrates that Chris Killen did not feel for the club and I look at this as a lucky escape," Peter Ridsdale told the Echo.
"It's best we know now of the player's commitment than a couple of months after signing him.
"I only want players at this club who will give total commitment to what we are trying to achieve here."
Killen joins the likes of Jody Morris, Stephan Klos and Kris Boyd who in recent times came close to joining City before switching elsewhere late on. The cynics amongst us might suggest we were being played along to force the other clubs into making a move?
