Kenwyne Jones has completed his move to Cardiff City. Jones is available for Cardiff's home game against Norwich on Saturday.
Jones, 29, is an imposing strker who has formerly played for Southampton and Sunderland before joining Stoke. He had previously had a loan spells at Stoke and Sheff Weds early in his career. The Trinidad and Tobago international cost Stoke £8m when they signed him in 2010.
Peter Oedemwingie has left the club and signed for Stoke City.
Oedemwingie has signed an 18 month conract at Stoke.
Stoke manager Mark Hughes said: “We’re delighted to have signed Peter. Things haven’t perhaps gone as well for him at Cardiff as he would have hoped and he’s really keen to start afresh with us.
“He has a good goal-scoring record in the Premier League and will bring a different dimension to our attacking options. I’ve no doubts he will prove to be an excellent addition to our squad.”
