"I'm very disappointed, because I thought that after getting the equaliser we would have gone on to win the game.

"But you cannot make mistakes at the back like that against a team as good as Watford.

"At the moment it is not going our way, and it is difficult to swallow at times.

"We never lost the game because we were outplayed, but because we switched off.

"As a team we have to concentrate, particularly on set plays, as we actually cleared the ball before both goals but were not awake for the second phase.

"We are our own worst enemy and we shouldn't have lost the game tonight."

"We rode our luck and weathered some storms, defended well and ground out a result without playing that well," he admitted.

"It says a lot that Mart Poom was our man of the match with some great saves.

"Darius Henderson is on fire and scoring goals, and I have never been in the position before to be able to leave players such as Marlon King and Jobi McAnuff on the bench.

"We know we have plenty of work to do but I don't think we will be at our best until January."
