"I was disappointed with the whole performance. We failed to get going and handed them the initiative," said Jones.
"But goals kill you. The first was down to Dimi. He waited for it rather than put his foot through it.
"That deflates you a bit and you have to pick yourself up.
"But we never really got going, we did not create enough and the players did not perform to levels they are capable of."
"The second goal came when we were pushing players forward.
"But it's still a goal we should stop. We played the free-kick forward, didn't hit the man we sent up and then switched off.
"We tried to catch him offside and there was no need for that."
"The performance was not as bad as the one at Southampton," continued Jones.
"We looked a little lethargic but if we had done our jobs properly then Norwich would not have caused us too many problems.
"But we made too many mistakes."
Meanwhile, Norwich manager Bryan Gunn was pleased with the performance against Cardiff.
"That's exactly what I asked for from the players.
"When you look at the Blackpool performance sandwiched in between a great win at QPR and another one tonight, you do scratch your head.
"But there's no point looking back now, it's about looking forward.
"We've got to maintain that level of commitment and performance for the rest of the season, starting with another very important game against Plymouth on Saturday, and if we do that we'll have a chance.
