City have won just once in the last seven games and go into the Christmas matches having lost 2nd place to Leeds Utd.
Jones can be quite surly in his manner to those outside of the club but he's adopted a much friedlier approach as City prepare to face Coventry on Boxing Day.
"I would very much like to say that, as always, the supporters have been absolutely outstanding for us and a real asset to what we`re trying to do," Jones told City`s official website.
"I understand the fans` frustrations, especially when making long trips to Middlesbrough to a disappointing outcome. But we all need to keep driving on and to maximise on all of the positives around the place, of which there are many.
"As far as we`re concerned we just want to get out there and play and get back to winning ways, which we`ll look to do this weekend against Coventry on Boxing Day. At the moment we know very well that results haven`t gone well for us, but again, with the bigger picture of the entire season in mind we`re where we all wanted to be. Now we want to take it to the next level, which is something we need to do together as a club."
Cardiff's next four games come thick and fast.
Sun Dec 26th, Coventry H
Tue Dec 28th, Watford A
Sat Jan 1st, Bristol City A
Tue Jan 4th, Leeds Utd H
The previous seven games have seen a return of just 5 points. Cardiff need to break that poor form and look to these four games in 10 days to get back into winning ways.
May I wish you all a very Mery Christmas.
