"We faced a stronger side today and we came though playing some good football in the second half," Jones told Cardiff City World.
"It was a good work out for us. We have three weeks to get sharp (to face Scunthorpe on the opening day)."
City have enjoyed a great reception from the Portuguese and have forged relations that Jones believes will see them invited back again.
The two matches played on tour have seen City come through with two wins, no goals conceded and no injuries.
The two City fans at the ground on Saturday to watch the game against the Portuguese side will also be back in Cardiff on Wednesday when they should be joined by at least 12 - 15,000 others for the visit of Celtic.
