Dave Jones had this to say on the matter.
When asked if he thought the move would go ahead..
"Of course I'm still confident it will happen," he told the Western Mail.
"Why be negative on it? We've got to stay positive until the last possible moment, and if it's a 'no' - a definite 'no' - then you just move on to other targets.
"That's what we've been doing since the day we finished playing at the end of last season.
"Everyone wants to see Jason back, but at the end of the day he's got to resolve his issues at West Brom as much as we've got to on our side.
"So at the moment it's just an ongoing thing, like all the other players we're chasing.
"Although we would've liked an answer straight away, it doesn't always happen straight away.
"Let West Brom sort it out (their stance on Koumas).
"There's been an awful lot written and said about where people are and what they're doing.
"I've said many times - sometimes you should ask the people who are being written about. Go and ask Jason."
