Parry walked out on Wales earlier in the week in between two World Cup qualifiers. The City player has been the subject of much debate this week with opinion very much divided.
There has been talk that Parry might get boo'd by pro Welsh sections of the crowd after he decided that he was a "spare part" in the Wales squad.
Club boss Dave Jones hopes now that City fans will get behind Parry as attention turns back to City business.
"Some of the people who are having a pop should talke a step back and think what they did in their careers," said Jones.
"He is not the only person to pull out of international teams."
"The boy has been battered from pillar to post and it just seems to be one-sided at the moment.
"He had his reasons, whether they be right or wrong, and we will stand by him.
"Everybody wants to play for their national team but he just feels he's not going to get the opportunity under the present regime.
"He's got to get his head down and I would hope and expect our fans to give him the reception that he deserves."
