Jones comes out fighting

It was suggested that Jones had the Ipswich game and tonight's game at Leicester to save his job. Part 1 was completed successfully and Jones has bought himself more time. There was not a lot of change to Jones' way of doing things and City managed to dig out a single goal victory.

"It is all about how you deal with the pressure," Jones said.

"Sometimes, because you might not show a lot of emotion, it gets thrown at you that you are not passionate.

"I am anxious from the start to the finish, but you bottle it in, you have to keep it in.

"I played at the top level and I have managed at the top level because I can deal with that. No one wants to lose, it hurts.

"This past two weeks my players have kicked lumps out of each other because there is a lot of anger there.

"They had to go out and do their jobs against Ipswich and I have no complaints.

"People were looking for signs of pressure, but what we did was keep our heads down and work our socks off.

"All the aggression there has been, we tried to store it and we said, 'Right, don't take it out on each other, let's now take it out on the opposition.'

"That's the best way for me, to come out fighting."
