The link seems tenuous at best. My sources tell me Peterborough's Darren Ferguson is a strong candidate for the West Brom job. We'll see. Roberto Martinez has finally moved to Wigan. I guess we could link Jones to the vacancy at the Liberty as well.
There are still rumblings that Birmingham could come back for Roger Johnson. Quite how serious they are we don't know. Their alleged offers so far have been headline grabbing, £3m, £5m etc but in reality it seems as if they want to pay on the never never with lots of conditions meaning City would be unlikely to see any serious lumps of cash arriving.
All these rumours and reports appear to be based on very little fact. We are just a couple of weeks away from the return to pre season training and transfer activity has been non existant. City's only addition to the squad is keeper David Marshall from Norwich. I think we'll see some movement over the next 6 weeks or so before the season starts. With some players likely to be sold to allow fresh faces to come in. It's a waiting game at the moment.
