After the final whistle on Tuesday JET's twitter followers gave him a mixed bag of praise, thanks and abuse.
In response Thomas tweeted
'Opinions aint facts take em in an let them go .. Thanks to the true fans that support for real through thick an thin all da rest cn piss off'
A similar, although slightly more agrressive, tweet from Danny Gabbidon saw him on a charge for improper conduct. He was fined £6,000 for saying
"U know what, f*** the lot of you, u will never get another tweet from me again, you just don't get it do you. Bye bye."
City's highest profile tweeter Jay Bothroyd has been fairly quiet, rather than general tweets about the defeat on Tuesday and his future he's replied directly to a few questions.
He says 'I really haven't though about my future yet , still hurting from losing against reading !!'
One man who has been most gracious is Jason Brown. The keeper, on loan from Blackburn, didn't actually get an game time here but signed off as he left the club this week saying
'Morning tweeps new and old, I would like to say a massive thank you to cardiff city football club especially the staff and the players-
'They made my time there really enjoyable, also would like to say thank you to the supporters with all of there positive messages,
'I would just like to wish the staff, players and the supporters all the very best for the future!!!!
Brown then went on the reveal that he would not be renewing his contract at Blackburn and would be looking for a new club as first choice keeper.
