The new "League" paper carried an interview with Cameron in which he suggested he will consider his City position in the summer and called Cardiff a "smaller club".
His comments were
"I'm enjoying myself at Cardiff, but if we don't get into the Premiership then we will have to address the situation in the summer.
"I have ambitions to play in the Premiership with quality players week in, week out.
"Cardiff gave me a chance and I will always be grateful for that. But I am ambitious and with time I would want to move on.
"I would like to play for a bigger team, be around better players and improve my all-round game. I would also benefit from better facilities and better coaching.
"In the long run, it's done me good to go to a smaller club like Cardiff, get some experience and work my way up."
There is a train of thought that the 19 year old striker is getting too big for his boots. So far this campaign he's bagged 18 goals. Personally I think the comments have probably been selected to grab your attention. I imagine there is a fuller interview that will show those comments in context. We are all ambitious and as much as we would like to think we are the biggest club in the world we have to accept that if we produce exceptional talent then there is a chance the players will move on.
Maybe reflecting on the quotes Cameron will think he may have said it a bit different but the bottom line is that the lad is thinking of his future and if that is with big money in the Premiership then who can deny him the chance to fulfil his potential at the highest level.
Glenn Loovens, it was suggested on Monday, was lined up for a £250,000 permanent move to Cardiff in the summer. The Echo revealed that the price had been agreed between City and Feyenoord with only personal terms to be sorted with the player. Cardiff City have made no comment on this matter this week and then the following day Feyenoord dismissed the newspaper report as "nonsense".
A spokesman for the Dutch club said
"Any reports we have agreed a deal with Cardiff City to sell Glenn Loovens are nonsense.
"No such deal has been struck at this time and Glenn (Loovens) remains a Feyenoord player. He went to Cardiff on loan to get experience playing at the highest level and it seems he likes it at Cardiff and that the club are very happy with him.
"But we have made no agreement with them of £250,000 or any other amount of money to sign Glenn."
I guess we'll have to watch this space.
