The England stopper still gets called Calamity James from time to time for some of his eccentric keeping in the past but there's no doubting he is a quality goalkeeper.
James has missed the last two games and may still miss Sunday's Premier league finale but he's hoping that he will at least get the nod for the final from Harry Redknapp.
"I had a scan and it's clear so I would describe myself as fit. But we'll see what the gaffer says.
"Now I've been given the all-clear I'll crack on and hopefully I can persuade the gaffer to play on Sunday. If not, I'll focus on the Cup final."
