Isaacs is said to have pumped millions of pounds into the football club including monies in recent months to pay the wages.
"I am seriously considering all the options open to me at this present time concerning Cardiff City Football Club," he told the Echo
"All I ever wanted is for this club to compete at the highest level and go forward together with its supporters. But over the last few months my present position has become untenable. So something has to be done about that."
Kim Walker and Paul Guy have already left the board and the club and if Isaac was to go only Steve Borley would remain from the time before Sam came. Other board members at the moment are Sam and his close friend Jonathan Crystal. Peter Ridsdale is close by as Sam's deputy chairman but not actually on the board.
David Temme, the former chief executive is looking after the stadium project after his stepping down from the board. Peter Ridsdale has taken over his day to day duties. How Mr Temme sees his future after the appointment of Ridsdale is another matter.
With the club suffering financially then surely it can't afford to lose a man with the financial ability Michael Isaac appears to have.
