Junichi Inamoto played 70 mins on Thursday as Japan went down 0 - 3 at home to Germany in Yokohama. It was the midfielders first action since breaking his ankle 6 months ago.
He signed for WBA in August for £200,000 from Osaka but he has not played this season for the Baggies. A clause in his contract means if he does not play before Jan 1st for West Brom he can leave without the £200,000 being paid.
A loan option to Cardiff might suit all parties. He needs football, WBA will not just throw him into the Premiership but at our level he could do a job as he gets himself fit.
I'm not one that bemoans loan players using us as a vehicle to prove themselves. All parties could benefit. We need a decent player in midfield. If we get someone like Inamoto and we see an upturn in results while he prepares himself for a Premiership return then lets go for it. If he's any good then lets make the most of him while we can.
Of course until someone says he's coming it's still just speculation.
