Highlights and reaction from City's win at Brentford

Post match comment from Russell Slade and first, Mark Warburton.

"If we go into the next game having lost and played badly that's one thing, but we lost and completely dominated the game so I'm not as disappointed as I might be."

"I'd like to have seen us try to unpick them with a little more though in the final few minutes instead of lifting balls into their box because we know we have the technical ability to do that.

"We knew that Cardiff would come and try to break the tempo, slow things down and delay but we have to deal with that and keep playing our football. We were good for the 1-0 and dominated the game but two lapses have cost us."

“I didn't think the game was going to explode into that in the second-half. Brentford had deserved their lead, they were the better side even if there were not a lot of opportunities for either side.

“But the important thing was we stayed in the game and got in the driving seat after an excellent goal from Revell.

“And we showed great character at the end when it was like the Alamo with crosses raining in from every direction and there were bodies on the line.

“My heart was in my mouth and I've not seen anything like those last ten minutes and they could have quite easily snatched something.

“But that spirit is growing all the time and we are improving all the time and this win will do the group the world of good.”
