"Our top young players are going nowhere," Sam told Monday's Echo
"There are people who think we might lose some players to Premiership clubs, but I say to them 'how on earth can that make sense?'
"Of course we want to sell players. But only when we want to and that is when we have better players than them in their positions in our squad."
With the transfer window looming Sam has reassured the City fans that the Bluebirds plan to keep thier top young players.
