A statement on the Cardiff City website confirmed the parties had met to discuss the Langston debt and current repayment agreement.
The statement reads:
As detailed in a statement on this (official) website on Thursday July 1, Cardiff City Football Club can confirm that a meeting between Chairman Dato Chan Tien Ghee and Director Alan Whiteley has taken place today, Wednesday July 14 with Sam Hammam to discuss the Langston debt and agreement.
It is confirmed that the meeting was cordial and that the position regarding the debt and our obligations remains the same.
There has been suggestions that Sam Hammam could be looking for a way back into CCFC with the debt being used as leverage.
We await further details.
