Now the season is over Gyepes has decided to come out and tell his side of a story that has seen him drop out of the matchday squad.
“If our manager stays it is very likely I will leave" Gyepes stated.
“After our defeat against Swansea in November our manager always blamed me for everything.
“I have to accept his decision because he is the manager and I can’t do anything.
“I haven’t played since March and at the end of the season I was out of the squad.
Gyepes has been overlooked even with City playing full back Kevin McNaughton as a makeshift centre half.
“I have waited for the end of the season because I can’t work with him.
“I have to think about my future and prepare for everything.
“I have a contract for one more year but I won’t be at Cardiff if the manager stays.”
I expect City will aim for better defenders next season but I can imagine there will be a touch of sympathy for Gyepes as fan opinion is hardly gushing for Dave Jones.
