It's unsure at what stage Cardiff's negotiations are at. It's not clear even if an official bid has been made. The latest quote is from Gary Megson who says
"Nobody is going to manufacture a transfer. If they (Cardiff City) want Sean they should put in a bid."
What is apparant today though is that Leeds Utd are heavily linked with Gregan.
The time this has spent in the media has clearly alerted other clubs and City are caught in a situation that it could have done without. Last season Leeds swiped Jody Morris from the hotel he was staying at in Cardiff. They won't hesitate to trump Cardiff again if they can.
With kick off only 48 hours away it's looking more and more unlikley that Gregan will be on the bus to Crewe.
