"I've got some decisions to make when I go back to Cardiff to find out if I'm in their plans or not," Gerrard told BBC Radio Humberside.
"There's a lot of factors so I'll discuss it with everyone involved."
Gerrard, who is the cousin of Liverpool and England midfielder Steven, scored his first goal for Hull in Saturday's 2-2 draw with Middlesbrough.
In September, he admitted he has been playing with a calf injury that may eventually require surgery, but that has yet to force him to miss a game for Nigel Pearson's side.
"I don't think I've had a bad game (since joining Hull)," said the former Everton trainee. "But I don't think every performance has been what I'd like it to be.
"I've set high standards for myself and I want to be the best player I can be, but if I can get anyway near my performances in the wins over Norwich and Ipswich I'll be happy."
