Nathaniel Mendez-Laing scored against the club who realeased him in 2012, to keep Cardiff City on top of the Championship after a 2 - 1 win at Molineux.
Laing's goal, the winner, came on 77 mins after Leo Bonatini (67) had levelled Joe Ralls' 54th minute opener.
All the goals came in the second half of a pulsating game of football by two very good sides. It means Cardiff maintain their 100% record as Wolves lost theirs.
With Kenneth Zohore in the headlines being linked with £10m+ interest from Brighton it's Mendez-Laing who's ripping this division apart at the moment. The 25 year was at Wolves for three years without making a senior appearance before moving to Peterborough.
Neil Warnock has spotted his potential and he's delivered and then some. That's 4 goals in three league starts for NM-L, the one game he didn't start, away at Burton, his introduction off the bench sparked City into life before Zohore's winner. NM-L also scored when coming off the bench in Rd 1 of the Carabao Cup. Incredible.
Cardiff welcome to Burton Albion to CCS on Tuesday in round 2 of the Carabao Cup before Q.P.R. are the visitors next Saturday in the Championship.
That match is the last before the international break. It's been an absolutely amazing August already, lets hope it continues.
