Bournemouth ended the season as Champions with Watford runners up.
With the promotion and relegation matters resolved before the last day of Championship games it was the play off places where the drama was.
Derby County, who had been early promotion favourites and almost guaranteed a play off place blew up at home and lost 3 - 0 to Reading. The defeat for Derby saw them drop out of the play off places and allowed Brentford to jump into 5th place and a play off against Middlesbrough.
The other play off match with be an East Anglian derby between Norwich and Ipswich.
There was a different sort of drama at Blackpool. After a goalless first half the Blackpool fans invaded the pitch in protest against ower Karl Oyston. Fans occupied the centre circle forcing the abandonment of the game.
