Warren Feeney will make his City debut alongside Steve Thompson this weekend when City face Sunderland at Ninian Park. The Northern Irish international was drafted into the club last week after the hamstring injury sustained ny Michael Chopra.
"It is a huge challenge for me to step in for a striker like Michael Chopra," said Feeney.
"But I'm up for the challenge and I'll do everything possible to help Cardiff qualify for the play-offs at least.
"That means playing so well I keep my place when Michael is fit. We'll see what happens, but hopefully I can give the manager a selection problem."
The Bluebirds have agreed a compensation package with Luton for Feeney, who will pen a three-year permanent contract with Cardiff when his deal with Hatters expires in the summer.
